This research aims to investigate the efforts of the 11 Ilir community in preventing social conflict brawls among residents in the 11 Ilir Sub-District of Palembang City. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling with five informants. Data collection techniques utilized include documentation, interviews, and observations. The results of this study reveal that the efforts of the 11 Ilir community in preventing social conflict brawls among residents in the 11 Ilir Sub- District of Palembang City are carried out through the construction of football fields and sports as alternative activities for children who are often involved in brawls, regular patrols during peak brawl hours to prevent conflicts, installation of banners prohibiting brawls and providing contact numbers for reporting brawl- related incidents, recording the names of individuals involved in brawls, and also providing information and reporting brawl incidents to the local sub-district authorities for further action. Furthermore, the residents of the 11 Ilir Sub-District also support the prevention of social conflict brawls by involving parents in advising their children, taking preventive measures by directly reprimanding brawl perpetrators and involving the police if necessary, organizing joint meetings to find solutions together by holding “Friday Sharing” activities around the Gedek bridge location to discuss brawl prevention, and ways to report indications of brawls to the authorities.
