HUBUNGAN KONTROL DIRI DENGAN INTERAKSI SOSIAL SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 INDRALAYA
One aspect that supports teenagers' success in interacting is self-control. It is very important to implement self-control for every student at school, especially students who are currently studying junior high school (SMP). This research aims to determine the relationship between self-control and social interaction of students at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research is a correlational quantitative research with a population of 301 and a sample of 75 which was determined using a simple random sampling technique using the Slovin formula. The data collection method in this research is a self-control scale and a social interaction scale obtained through direct distribution instruments. Data analysis in this research used Pearson product moment. The results of data analysis show that the level of self-control in the low category is at 111-120 with a percentage of 33% (25 students) and the level of social interaction is in the medium category at 98-105 with a percentage of 31% (23 students). Then the correlation coefficient (r) is = 0.561 and 0.000 or < 0.05 sig. (2-tailed) which means there is a significant positive relationship between self-control and social interaction of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. This shows that the higher the self-control, the higher the student's social interaction, but conversely, if self-control is low, social interaction will also be low.
