EVALUASI PROSES BISNIS PENGAJUAN SERTIFIKASI HALAL PRODUK DENGAN METODE BUSINESS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (BPI).
This research discusses recommendations for the business process of applying for regular halal certification using the Business Process Improvement (BPI) method as a consideration for the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), the Halal Examining Agency (LPH), and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). In the current business process, there are 4 main problems with the highest RPN: halal certification registration, product halal inspection, fatwa hearing, and cost constraints. In this study, identification and evaluation of current business processes (as is) using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to find the root causes of current business processes (as is), then evaluate business processes using the Business Process Improvement (BPI) method by providing business process recommendations. From the simulation results of comparing the current business process (as is) and the recommendation business process (to be), it shows that in the recommendation business process there is an increase of 11.91% in the business process of applying for regular halal certification, 0.169% in the business process of examining and / or testing the halalness of products, and 99.50% in the fatwa hearing business process, although the increase is not so significant, the recommendation business process is more effective.
