This research aims to improve the ability to read hijaiyah letters at the age of 5-6 years at RA Al-Azhar through letter cards. The type of research used is classroom action research using the Kurt Lewin model. The subjects of this research were 23 children aged 5-6 years, consisting of 15 girls and 8 boys. The object studied is the ability to read hijaiyah letters. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive. The results of the research show that using letter cards as a medium can improve the ability to read hijaiyah letters. This increase can be seen from the initial condition of the ability to read hijaiyah letters for children aged 5-6 years, which was in the Starting to Develop (MB) category in the pre-cycle at 43%, in Cycle I the percentage was 78% in the Starting to Develop (MB) category, and in Cycle II it reached 74 % Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category.
