This study aims to determine the percentage of parenting patterns provided by parents who work in the Indonesian National Army to children aged (5-6) years in the Secata Rindam II Sriwijaya Lahat dormitory. The research uses quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were 26 children aged (5-6) years who lived in the Secata Rindam II Sriwijaya Lahat dormitory and the sample in this study was 15 children, consisting of 5 girls and 10 boys. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were in the form of closed questionnaires and direct interviews with the children's parents. The analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the research show that the dominant parenting style used by parents who work in the Indonesian National Army for children aged (5-6) years in the Secata Rindam II Sriwijaya Lahat dormitory is democratic parenting, but sometimes parents also apply authoritarian parenting and permissive parenting to children. which is adjusted to the situation and condition of the child. With details of indicators of authoritarian parenting style, there are 6 parents (40%) in the Sometimes (KK) category and 5 parents (33.33%) in the Rarely (J) category, the application of this parenting style Democratically there are 10 parents (66.67%) in the Always (SL) category and 5 parents (33.33%) in the Frequent (SR) category. And implementing permissive parenting patterns there are 4 parents (26.67%) in the Rarely (J) category and 7 parents (46.47%) in the Never (TP).
