PENENTUAN KADAR FENOLIK, FLAVONOID TOTAL DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN DARI TUMBUHAN RAMBUSA (Passiflora foetida)
Passiflora foetida is a vine plant belonging to the Passifloracea family from Passiflora genus. It is distributed in tropical areas which has bioactivity as an antioxidant, antibacterial, analgesic, cytotoxic, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic. This study aims to determine total phenolic and flavonoid content using the colorimetric method and antioxidant activity using the DPPH method in methanol extracts, n-hexane and ethyl acetate fractions from the stems, leaves and fruit of P. foetida. The results showed that the total phenolic content of P. foetida stems, leaves and fruit were (45.92 ± 0.08; 61.64 ± 0.08; 34.22 ± 0.05) mgGAE/g in methanol extract, (39.22 ± 0.08; 61.14 ± 0.18; 35.66 ± 0.09) mgGAE/g in the n-hexane fraction and (72.39 ± 0.12; 76.93 ± 0, 05; 39.62±0.08) mgGAE/g in the ethyl acetate fraction. The total flavonoid content of P. foetida stems, leaves and fruit were respectively (18.57 ± 0.02; 29.07 ± 0.05; 7.03 ± 0.04) mgQE/g in methanol extract, (12 .88 ± 0.04; 19.68 ± 0.03; 17.16 ± 0.04) mgQE/g in the n-hexane fraction and (23.34 ± 0.03; 30.88 ± 0.05; 18 .80±0.03) mgQE/g in the ethyl acetate fraction. The antioxidant activity test showed that the leaf ethyl acetate fraction with an IC50 value of 243.73 ± 0.71 mg/L was categorized as medium. The ethyl acetate fraction of stems, methanol extract of leaves, and n-hexane fraction of leaves produced IC50 values respectively (404.50 ± 0.13; 443.62 ± 0.09; 464.59 ± 0.09) mg/L which is considered weak. Methanol extract of stems and fruit; fruit ethyl acetate fraction; n-hexane fraction of stems and fruit is not active antioxidant with IC50 value ≥ 500 mg/L.
