PENERAPAN STRATEGI WORKING BACKWARDS UNTUK MELIHAT KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA SMP
This study aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students after applying the working backwards strategy. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with the subject of research being grade VII students of SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang. The data collection technique in this study is a written test that is analyzed based on polya stages, especially with a working backwards strategy. Based on the results of the study, the average score of students' problem-solving ability was 52.64 and was categorized as sufficient. The indicator with the highest percentage of occurrence at 73.89% was reading the problem carefully (identifying important information), and the indicator with the lowest percentage occurrence at 35% was reconsidering the answer.
