PEMETAAN SEBARAN TERUMBU KARANG MENGGUNAKAN CITRA SATELIT SENTINEL-2A DI PERAIRAN PULAU ENGGANO
Enggano Island has a coral reef ecosystem as a potential biological resource to support fisheries resources so it needs to be monitored using remote sensing technology. In this case, the Sentinel-2A satellite is used to map the distribution and extent of coral reefs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability and test the accuracy of Sentinel-2A satellite imagery in mapping the distribution and extent of coral reefs in Enggano Island waters. The research was conducted in September 2023 which included ground check data collection using the stop and go method in Enggano Island waters. Ground check points are determined using purposive sampling method by considering the distribution of samples of each benthic habitat class (coral reefs, algae, seagrass and open substrate) based on image processing data. Image data processing is done using 3 different input data, namely composite band RGB 432, composite band Lyzenga B2B3; B2B4; B3B4 and composite band PCA results (PC3, PC2, PC1). Each input data was respectively classified using the Maximum Likelihood Classification (MLC) algorithm and unsupervised with the Iso Cluster Unsupervised Classification (ICUC) algorithm. The results showed that the best accuracy value was obtained from the input composite band Lyzenga B2B3; B2B4; B3B4 which was classified using the MLC algorithm with a value of 93.33%. The total area of coral reefs in Enggano Island waters based on the classification results is 2,673 ha which is widely spread in the reef flat, reef crest and reef slope zones. Further research can be done using high-resolution images and other processing methods to get maximum results.
