The Environmental Quality Index describes the environmental conditions of a region. This research aims to analyze the impact of economic growth, environmental budget and population density on environmental quality in Provinces on the island of Java. This research uses panel data from 2011 to 2020 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the Province of Java Island. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The model chosen is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The research results show that Economic Growth and Population have a negative and significant effect on environmental quality index, whereas The Environmental Budget is not significant to environmental quality index.
