IDENTIFIKASI KELIMPAHAN DAN JENIS MIKROPLASTIK PADA IKAN GLODOK (PERIOPHTHALMODON SCHLOSSERI) DI PESISIR PERAIRAN SUNGSANG, SUMATERA SELATAN
Sungsang Village is located at Musi River, the estuary area is a semi-enclosed body of water that is in free contact with the sea. The lack of awareness of the Sungsang coastal community causes plastic waste to enter the water and contribute to damage and result in a decline in water quality. Wide distribution of plastic waste causes microplastics to easily stick to and be ingested by the mudskipper. The aim of this research is to determine the type, size, abundance, analysis of polymers and the relationship between water parameters and the abundance of microplastics. This research was carried out at five stations using 15 samples of mudskipper. The research results showed that the mudskipper (Periophthalmodon schlosseri) was found to be between 19-24 cm long and weighing 67,84-136.49 g. The microplastics found consisted of 3 types, namely fiber with 53 particles, fragments with 271 particles and film with 406 particles. The size of the microplastics found ranged from 143-4987,5 μm. The types of polymer that found is polystyrene. The relationship between water parameters and the abundance of microplastics in mudskipper is influenced by water pH, soil pH, temperature and dissolved oxygen.
