UJI KADAR FLAVONOID TOTAL DAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSDIAN SECARA IN VITRO PADA FRAKSI DAUN UBI JALAR UNGU (Ipomoea batatas L.POIR)
Free radical can trigger chain reactions that cause damage to cell-forming particles that can have an impact on health. One of the plants that has the potential as a source of antioxidants is purple sweet potato leaves (Ipomoea batatas L. Poir) which contains a secondary metalbolite component with antioxidant effectiveness relatively higher than tocopherol. This study aims to determine the Antioxidant Activity of Purple Sweet Potato Leaves Fractions using the DPPH method and the Total Flavonoid Content in them. Tests were carried out on the Ethanol, Ethylacetate and n-Hexane Fraction from Purple Sweet Potato Leaves. Measurement of Total Flavonoid Levels was carried out by reacting Frcation with AlCl3 & NaAsetat, while the Anioxidant Activity Test used DPPH. The results of this test the n-Hexane; Ethylacetate and Ethanol fractions have IC50 141.6220 ppm ; 9.6813 ppm and 100.152 ppm and Total Flavonoid Content of the n-Hexane, Ethylacetate and Ethanol Fractions 0.1371%(0.001371 mgQE/g); 2.0306% (0.020306 mgQE/g) and 1.0656%(0.010656 mgQE/g). The Ethylacetate Fraction showed the best results with an IC50 value of 9.6813 and a Total Flavonoid Content of 2.0306%. The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between the decrease in the IC50 value and the total Flavonoid content, with the smaller the IC50 value, the higher the Flavonoid contained in it.
