ANALISIS SEBARAN LOGAM BERAT KROMIUM PADA SEDIMEN SUNGAI GASING MENGGUNAKAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI SERAPAN ATOM (SSA)
River sediments may contain various heavy metals, one of which is Chromium (Cr). This study aims to determine the distribution by determining the concentration of Chromium (Cr) in gasing river sediments using the Atomic Absorption Spectophotometry (SSA) method and compared with the quality standard of heavy metal Chromium (Cr) in river sediments. Field analysis was conducted on physical parameters (depth and current speed). This study began with sediment sampling at seven points, namely Sebalik Estuary, Kenten Estuary, PT Sutopo, Middle Gasing River, Middle Gasing Bridge, Kenten Village Bridge and Pangkalan Benteng Village. Calibration curves were made with variations in the concentration of standard solution of 0 mg/L; 0.2 mg/L; 1 mg/L; 4 mg/L; 8 mg/L and 10 mg/L and then determination of Cr levels in gasing river using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (SSA) method. Through calculations linearity of the standard solution obtained with a linear regression equation y = 0.0028x + 0.00009 and value (R) = 0.9988. The LOD result is 0.035 mg/L and the LOQ value is 0.118 mg/L. The chromium (Cr) concentration measured in the Gasing River sediment samples ranged from 0.035 - 30.5 mg/Kg. the distribution of Cr metal from the upstream-downstream of the gasing river tends to decrease, still far below the quality standard for chromium in river sediments according to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) in 1999, the content of heavy metal chromium (Cr) with a threshold is 52.3 mg/Kg.
