Background. Musculoskeletal disorders in a person's body cause pain symptoms. Musculoskeletal pain is acute or chronic pain that affects bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and even nerves, if not treated properly it can have a negative impact on a person's quality of life. This study aims to determine the characteristics of people who experience the incidence of musculoskeletal pain in RT 26 RW 08 Sekip Jaya Village Palembang. Methods. This study used descriptive observational method with primary data in the form of data collected from questionnaires by interview from June to October 2023 who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling technique. Results. The number of samples in the study was 52 samples. People who experience musculoskeletal pain are mostly in the age group 46-55 years as many as 18 people (34.6%), female gender as many as 39 people (75.0%), normal body mass index as many as 36 people (69.2%), the weight of work activities in the light category as many as 27 people (51.9%), had a history of musculoskeletal disease as many as 46 people (88.5%), mild pain intensity as many as 26 people (50.0%), chronic pain duration as many as 30 people (57.7%), musculoskeletal parts that experience pain in joints as many as 38 people (73.1%), lower extremity pain location as many as 29 people (55.8%). Conclusion. The characteristics of people who experience the incidence of musculoskeletal pain in RT 26 RW 08 Kelurahan Sekip Jaya Palembang, found that most of the age group 46-55 years, female gender, body mass index in the normal category, the weight of work activities in the light category, have a history of previous musculoskeletal disease, mild pain intensity, chronic category pain duration> 3 months, musculoskeletal parts that experience pain in the joints, and the location of pain in the lower extremities.
