STUDI PERBANDINGAN HASIL MODEL P-CENTER LOCATION PROBLEM DAN P-MEDIAN PROBLEM PENENTUAN LOKASI TEMPAT PEMBUANGAN SEMENTARA SAMPAH DI KECAMATAN ALANG - ALANG LEBAR KOTA PALEMBANG
The rapid development of urban areas in Indonesia is in line with the increase in population and is proportional to the waste produced. One solution to the waste problem is to provide Temporary Waste Disposal Sites (TWDS) with optimal locations. Optimizing location placement is one part of optimization and is included in the Set Covering Problem (SCP) classification. This research aims to determine the optimal location of TWDS in the Alang - Alang Lebar District, Palembang City, by comparing the results of the p-Center Location Problem and p-Median Problem models. In light of the results and discussion, it is evident that determining the nearest optimal TWDS location in Alang - Alang Lebar District satisfies the needs of each subdistrict including TWDS Pramuka 2 Street and Surroundings, TWDS Colonel Sulaiman Amin Street, TWDS Talang Kelapa, and TWDS on the side of Soekarno Hatta Street. This research recommends a solution of the p-Center Location Problem and p-Median Problem models.
