PEMBELAJARAN STEM TOPIK POLUSI PERAIRAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN PESERTA DIDIK SMP
This study aims to determine the effect of STEM learning treatment on water pollution topic to problem solving and decision making skills of junior high school students. The population of this study were all students of VII A and VII B of SMPN 1 Mendo Barat. Determination of the sample with Random Sampling technique. The type of this research is Quasi Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design research design. The research instrument for problem solving and decision-making skills is a description question sheet. The experimental class was given STEM learning treatment while the control class was given 5E learning treatment. The research data were analysed using N-Gain calculation and MANCOVA test. The N-Gain of problem solving ability in the experimental class was 0.63 with a medium category while in the control class was 0.28 with a low category. N-Gain of decision-making ability in the experimental class was 0.61 with a medium category while in the control class was 0.22 with a low category.
