IDENTIFIKASI TEMPAT PENAMPUNGAN AIR POTENSIAL BAGI LARVA NYAMUK SEBAGAI VEKTOR PENYAKIT DI RT 01 DAN RT 04 KEMELAK BATURAJA TIMUR
Background: Diseases transmitted through vectors, especially mosquito bites, posed a public health problem in various regions. The identification of potential water storage places as breeding grounds for mosquito larvae was the objective of this research. Method: This study was employed a descriptive method with a field survey design and laboratory analysis. The research sample included all houses and waste disposal sites (TPA) in RT 01 and RT 04 Kemelak, East Baturaja. Data collected included the number of houses, the number of TPAs, types of TPAs, and the quantity and types of larvae collected using dippers and pipettes. Results: A total of 235 TPAs were sampled, consisting of 158 TPAs from RT 01 and 77 TPAs from RT 04. Of the 158 TPAs in RT 01, 83 TPAs were indoors, and 75 TPAs were outdoors. Additionally, of the 77 TPAs in RT 04, 53 TPAs were indoors, and 24 TPAs were outdoors. After observation, 16 TPAs in 12 houses in RT 01 and 10 TPAs in 08 houses in RT 04 had mosquito larvae. Mosquito larvae were obtained from two genera: 19 Culex spp and 170 Aedes spp. The density of mosquito larvae in RT 01 using HI was 19.14%, CI was 10.12% and BI was 26.22%. The density of mosquito larvae in RT 04 used HI which was 20%, CI which was 12.9% and BI was 25%. Conclusion: Mosquito larvae from the genera Culex spp and Aedes spp were found in 26 TPAs in RT 01 and RT 04. RT 01 and RT 04 Kemelak Bindung Langit were areas with a moderate risk factor for disease transmission by mosquito vectors. Keywords: Water Storage Places, Mosquito Vectors, Genera Aedes, Genera Culex
