REPRESENTASI KERUSAKAN LINGKUNGAN PADA NOVEL TIGA SERI ANAK NUSANTARA MATA DI RAYA KARYA OKKY MADASARI DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA
The study aims to identify the representation of environmental degradation in the novel Tiga Seri Anak Nusantara Mata Di Raya by Okky Madasari and to describe its utilization as instructional materials in Indonesian language and Literature learning. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The research method uses content analysis.The study used Keraf's (2010) model of literary ecocriticism theory in the form of 1) pollution environment, 2) degradation of critical land, 3) disturbance to the ecosystem, 4) forest damage, and 5) loss of biodiversity. The data for this research are from three novels entitled Mata dan Rahasia Pulau Gapi (2018), Mata dan Manusia Laut (2019), and Mata dan Nyala Api Purba (2021). The results show that there were 43 datawhich consisted of air pollution, marine pollution, fake (arti cial) plants, wild re, land explosion, environmental degradation, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, earth excavation, water pollution, and biodiversity loss. The results of this research imply Indonesian language learning by referring to curriculum 2013 in junior high school and senior high school. The utilization of this research in junior high school level class VII is to learn materials of Indonesian language and Literature by looking at Basic Competence 3.4 with the social function to examine the structure and language of narrative texts (fantasy stories) that are read and heard. Then, research also has implications in senior high school level class XII for basic competence 4.9 with the social function to designing a novel or novelette by paying attention to the content and good language verbally or inwriting.
