MODEL REGRESI DATA PANEL PADA FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEMISKINAN DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN TAHUN 2020-2022
Poverty is the inability to meet minimum standards of basic needs. The Poverty Rate in South Sumatra Province in 2020 to 2022 is still above the national poverty percentage. The purpose of this study was to determine the best panel data regression model and the factors that influence the poverty rate in the regencies and municipalities of South Sumatra Province in 2020 to 2022. The data used was secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) website. Estimation of panel data regression models was carried out with three models, namely the Common Effect Model (CEM), Fixed Effect Model (FEM), and Random Effect Model (REM). The selection of the best model was carried out using three tests, namely the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange Multiplier test. The best model chosen is FEM with individual and time effects. The panel data regression model of the individual effect FEM is Y ̂_it= γ ̂_i+80.80106 -0.308272 X_3it-0.965674〖 X〗_5it while the time effect FEM is Y ̂_it= δ ̂_t+ 81.26069 -0.106325〖 X〗_4it-0.983398〖 X〗_5it. The estimation results of variables that have a significant effect on the poverty rate in the regencies and municipalities of South Sumatra Province for the individual effect FEM are the open unemployment rate (X_3it) and the Human Development Index (HDI) (X_5it) while for the time effect FEM are the rate of Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) (X_4it) and the Human Development Index (HDI) (X_5it). The FEM model can explain the poverty rate by 99%.
