UJI AKTIVITAS HEPATOPROTEKTOR EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KENCANA UNGU (Ruellia Tuberosa L.) PADA TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR YANG DIINDUKSI CCl4
The Purple golden leaves (Ruellia tuberosa L.) contain secondary metabolites in the form of flavonoid compounds which have antioxidant activity which can act as a hepatoprotector. This study aims to determine the hepatoprotective activity of ethanol extract of purple golden leaves (Ruellia tuberosa L.) in male Wistar white rats induced by CCl4 based on parameters measuring SGOT, SGPT and ALP levels, macroscopic and histopathological images of the rat liver. Purple golden leaves were extracted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The research was carried out using 30 male white rats which were divided into 6 groups, namely normal control (Na CMC 0.5% p.o), positive control (silimarin 100 mg/KgBW), negative control (CCl4 1 mg/KgBW i.p), and test group for ethanol extract of purple golden leaves at doses of 50, 100, and 200 mg/KgBW. The results showed that administration of ethanol extract of purple golden leaves significantly (p
