ANALISIS TERHADAP DINAMIKA CURAH HUJAN KOTA PALEMBANG DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN FENOMENA ALAM ENSO DAN IOD TAHUN 2019-2023
The recent decline in rainfall levels in the city of Palembang has caused the phenomenon of extreme drought in 2023. This phenomenon has had a big impact on life, such as the cessation of several activities in the city of Palembang. This requires an analysis of the dynamics of rainfall in the city of Palembang. For this reason, research was carried out related to the analysis of the dynamics of rainfall in the city of Palembang and its relationship to the ENSO and IOD phenomena for the period 2019-2023. In this research, analysis of the dynamics of rainfall in the city of Palembang was carried out by processing data from 3 different stations in the city of Palembang using the Polygon Theissen method. Next, an analysis process will be carried out on time series graphs of ENSO and IOD phenomena, with time series graphs of rainfall for the city of Palembang for the 2019-2023 period. From the rainfall data obtained, an equatorial type rain pattern was formed in 2019, 2020, 2022 and a moonsun type rain pattern in 2021 and 2023. In 2019 there was a weak El Nino phenomenon and a very strong IOD+, which resulted in extreme drought. There will be a medium La Nina and weak IOD phenomenon in 2020–2022, which will cause an increase in extreme rainfall. In 2023 there will be an extreme dry season similar to the phenomenon in 2019. The main cause of the extreme dry season in the city of Palembang in 2023is due to the very strong El Nino phenomenon and strong IOD+
