A poor lifestyle can lead to the accumulation of free radicals that trigger degenerative diseases. Natural antioxidant compounds are needed to reduce free radical molecules formed in the body. One source of natural antioxidants comes from the kuku elang plant (Oxyceros longiflorus (Lam.) T. Yamaz.). The research methods used are extraction, fractionation, antioxidant activity test of fractions using thin layer chromatography method, isolation of compounds by column chromatography, antioxidant activity test of fractions using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and determination of IC50 value by DPPH method. The results of thin layer chromatography are presented in the form of chromatogram images and linear regression analysis is presented in the form of linear regression graphs. Determination of antioxidant activity of kuku elang leaves was done qualitatively (KLT) and quantitatively (UV-Vis Spectrophotometer) using DPPH method. The results showed that antioxidant activity in kuku elangwas found to be strong in the n-hexane fraction and ethyl acetate fraction with IC50 values of 87.029 ppm and 75.006 ppm respectively and antioxidant activity was found to be very weak in the water methanol fraction with IC50 value of 430.807 ppm. The antioxidant active compound groups in the subfractions of kuku elang leaves were found to be terpenoid, steroid, and flavonoid compounds. Five terpenoid compounds were obtained from the active subfraction of kuku elang leaves with IC50 values of 14.934 ppm, 18.009 ppm, 30.211 ppm, 54.327 ppm, and 56.647 ppm, respectively. A steroid compound from the subfraction of kuku elangleaves had an IC50 value of ¬81.730 ppm and a flavonoid compound from the subfraction of kuku elangleaves had an IC50 value of ¬114.621 ppm.
