UJI AKTIVITAS DIURETIK EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KENCANA UNGU (Ruellia tuberosa L.) TERHADAP TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN GALUR WISTAR
The leaves of the kencana ungu (Ruellia tuberosa L.) contains flavonoid compounds potentially as diuretics. This study aims to determine the diuretic activity of ethanol extract of kencana ungu leaves. Diuretic activity testing was carried out on 6 groups of test animals including normal (aquades), negative (NaCMC), positive (Furosemide), and three groups of treatment doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/KgBW. Observations were made for 24 hours with urine volume parameters and sodium (〖Na〗^+), potassium (K^+) and chloride (〖Cl〗^-) ion levels. Based on the results showed that all treatment groups of ethanol extract of kencana ungu leaves (Ruellia tuberosa L.) doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/KgBW have diuretic activity characterized by increased urine volume as well as sodium ions (〖Na〗^+), potassium (K^+) and chloride (〖Cl〗^-). Dosing 400 mg/KgBW showed the greatest increase in urine volume compared to the positive control (furosemide). The effective dose 〖(ED〗_50) of ethanol extract of kencana ungu leaves was 152,92 mg/KgBW. Keywords: Diuretic, 〖Na〗^+, K^+ dan 〖Cl〗^- ion levels, Kencana Ungu
