STUDI ETNOBOTANI RITUAL ADAT ISTIADAT SUKU SEMENDE DALAM WILAYAH KECAMATAN SEMENDE DARAT ULU KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Ethnobotanical research aims to determine the types of plants used in the traditional rituals of the Semende Tribe in Semende Darat Ulu District, Muara Enim Regency. This research uses a descriptive method. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that there are 32 types of plants used in the Semende Tribe's traditional rituals (birth, marriage and death). The plants used in birth customs are 11 types of plants grouped into 9 tribes and 8 nations. The plants used in wedding customs are 25 types of plants grouped into 12 tribes and 19 nations. The plants used in death customs are 5 types of plants grouped into 4 tribes and 4 nations. The most widely used plant types are the Arecaceae group with 5 types of plants, namely Cocos nucifera L. (niuw), Calamus sp (uwi), Nypa fruticans (nipah), Eleiodoxa conferta (Bebasan), and Arenga pinnata (enau). The way plants are used in the traditional birth, marriage and death rituals of the Semende tribe is to mash them, cut them, weave them, cook them, eat them, burn them, and some plants are used directly whole. The data from this research were compiled in booklet form and used as a source of information for class X high school students on biodiversity material.
