PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, engaged in mining activities at West Banko Site. In the overburden stripping or digging of coal, the company surely expenses costs to do mining from front to dumping area including: digging, loading, and hauling. in 2016, The Company of Bukit Asam expended the production cost of overburden stripping in amount 35,101 IDR/bcm using mechanical tool based on fuel oil. In 2017, The Company of Bukit Asam will do mining using Electric Steam Power Plant owned by The Company itself which is expected to reduce the production costs of overburden stripping. Production costs include fixed cost and variable cost that must be issued by the company. Fixed cost consists of depretiation, interest, tax, and insurance. Variable cost includes fuel, lubricating oil, replacement of undercarriage/tire, replacement of filter, repairs and maintenance, and operator salaries. To obtain the quantity of production cost, it will be did a research at the productivity of digging-loading and hauling tool. Next, research fixed and variable cost. From the data obtained, production costs of overburden stripping will be found. From the result of the research, the productivity of digging-loading tool Shovel Komatsu PC 3000 is 802.05 bcm/h and the productivity of hauling tool Rigid Truck Belaz is 116.72 bcm/h. Fixed cost of digging-loading tool is 2,577,801 IDR/h that consists of depreciation cost is 2,277,433 IDR/h and costs of interest, tax, and insurance are 300,368 IDR/h. Variable cost of digging-loading tool is 3,063,016.84 IDR/h that consists of electric charge is 606,799.71 IDR/h, lubricating oil cost is 70,792 IDR/h, undercarriage replacement cost is 355,556 IDR/h, filter replacement cost is 41,958 IDR/h, repair and maintenance cost is 1,966,183.86 IDR/h and operator salaries are 22,727.27 IDR/h. Fixed cost of 7 hauling tools is 5,239,204 IDR/h that includes depreciation cost is 4,628,727 IDR/h, interest, tax, and insurance are 610,478 IDR/h. Variable cost is 11,117,551.38 IDR/h that consists of fuel oil is 3,074,222.96 IDR/h, lubricant oil replacement cost is 202,079.22 IDR/h, replacement of tires cost is 3,420,452 IDR/h, replacement of filter cost is 264,572 IDR/h, repair and maintenace cost is 3,996,134.3 IDR/h, and operator salaries are 159,090.9 IDR/h. The result of calculating produces the production cost of digging-loading tool is 7,030.3 IDR/bcm and the production cost of hauling tool is 20,393.68 IDR/bcm, so that the production cost of overburden stripping must be issued by the company in pit 3 east at West Banko in July 2017 was 27,423.98 IDR/bcm.
