KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN CEDERA KEPALA PADA ANAK DENGAN PERDARAHAN INTRAKRANIAL DI BAGIAN BEDAH RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 2020-2022
Background: Injuries are a major cause of death or paralysis in early childhood, especially between the ages of six and twelve. Head injuries are a common occurrence. The majority of head injuries in children are caused by a variety of events, such as traffic accidents, falls while cycling, falls while playing, sports injuries, and being involved in fights or experiencing violent acts. Incidents such as blows, impacts, or sudden jolts are all causes of head injuries. The incidence of head injuries in children is still common, the incidence rate of head injuries in children is still large worldwide, then South Sumatra Province is the third province on the island of Sumatra where the incidence rate of head injuries is still large, and there are still few studies on the characteristics of head injuries in children in South Sumatra Province, the author is motivated to make a scientific paper entitled "Characteristics of Head Injury Patients in Children with Intracranial Hemorrhage in the Surgery Department of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital for the Period 2020-2022". Method: This type of research is descriptive observational with a cross sectional study design based on secondary data from observations of medical records of head injury patients in children with intracranial hemorrhage in the surgical department of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital for the period 2020-2022. Result: From this study, pediatric head injury patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in the 2020-2022 period had the highest distribution of patients with the age group 12-18 years (54.4%), male gender (73.3%), the most common cause of injury was traffic accidents (61.5%), the most severity of injury was CKR (60%), intracranial lesions were often found EDH (27.7%), most often found patients with more than one adverse event (23.1%), the most common duration of hospitalization was 3-7 days (42.1%), and the most common outcome was improvement (71.8%). Conclusion: Most of the pediatric head injury cases at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital for the 2020-2022 Period were male, aged 12-18 years, caused by traffic accidents, with CKR severity, most patients had more than one adverse event, intracranial hemorrhage was often found EDH, most were treated for 3-7 days, went home in an improved condition.
