The purpose of this study was to determine the effect on the use of a team assisted individualization type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 74 Palembang. This research uses quasi experimental design method with nonequivalent control group design type. The population in this study was all fifth grade students of SD Negeri 74 Palembang. The sample of this study was 27 students taken using nonprobability sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test. The data analysis technique in this study used is the Non-Parametric Mann Whitney Test which is first carried out normality test and homogeneity test. The results of this study showed that the experimental class obtained an average pretest score of 34.07 and an average posttest score of 77.41, while the control class obtained an average pretest score of 32.22 and an average posttest of 61.48. From the calculation of the Non-Parametric Mann Whitney Test with a significant level of α = 0.05, a sig value is obtained. 0.002 where sig. 0.002 < 0.05. Based on the results of the Non-Parametric Mann Whitney Test, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence from the use of a team assisted individualization type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 74 Palembang.
