PERBANDINGAN INFILTRASI SEL PLASMA BERDASARKAN KARAKTERISTIK KLINIKOPATOLOGI KARSINOMA OVARIUM SEROSA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Introduction: Ovarian cancer is one of the main causes of death in women throughout the world. Plasma cells as one of the immune cells that infiltrate tumors have an important role in forming a pro-tumor or anti-tumor immune response. The aim of this study was to determine the comparison of plasma cell infiltration based on the clinicopathological characteristics of serous ovarian carcinoma at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This research uses a cross-sectional method. The samples used were serous ovarian carcinoma tissue preparations that had been treated with HE dye and had the patient's clinical data recorded in the Medical Records Installation. Observations were made by identifying the morphology of plasma cells that infiltrate the tumor microenvironment, both intratumor and stromal. The results of intratumor and stromal plasma cell counts will be analyzed statistically and the differences will be seen based on the clinicopathological characteristics of serous ovarian cancer patients. Results: Significant results in the comparison of plasma cell infiltration in the intratumor (p=0.005) and stroma (p=0.001) to the patient's age. Comparison of plasma cell infiltration in the intratumor and stroma based on stage and subtype showed that the results were not significant (p>0.05). Conclusion: The results of bivariate analysis show that there is a significant difference between plasma cell infiltration and age.
