Anxiety is a form of negative emotion experienced by individuals when individuals feel uncomfortable, tense, restless and afraid in certain conditions. Social support is one of the factors that influences anxiety levels, both positively and negatively.The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between social support and anxiety in writing a thesis among students majoring in Education Class of 2019 Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. This type of research is quantitative using correlational methods. The sample in this research were 86 students from the Department of Education Class of 2019 Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Sriwijaya University.who were currently writing their thesis, the sampling technique used total sampling. The data collection method in the research used a Likert scale, instruments were distributed using a Google form link. Data analysis used the Pearson product moment method with the help of the Microsoft Axcel 2010 application and SPSS (statistical product and service solutions). The results of data analysis showed that the level of anxiety among students in writing their thesis was in the medium category, namely 68 students with a percentage of 79% and the level of parental social support. is in the medium category with 56 students with a percentage of 65%. The result of the correlation coefficient value obtained is rxy = -541 with a value of rtable = 0.321, which can be interpreted that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship and there is a significant relationship between social support and anxiety in preparing a thesis for students from the 2019 Faculty of Education, FKIP, Sriwijaya University.
