ANALISIS KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN MASALAH MELALUI DISKUSI KELOMPOK
This research aims to describe students' mathematical communication in solving problems through group discussions. The subjects of this research were seventh A grade students of Srijaya Negara Junior High School Palembang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was guided by semiotic indicators of mathematical communication. Based on the results of the study, the most dominant indicator that appeared was the symbols indicator, followed by gesture indicators, namely writing gesture and pointing gesture, and word indicators in the form of speech. While the word indicator in the form of writing is less dominant and the gesture indicator, namely the representational gesture, does not appear at all.
