Introduction: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is defined as compression of the distal median nerve with symptoms of intermittent pain, numbness, paraesthesia, as well as tingling along the median nerve’s innervation. Medical faculty students have been studied to have moderate to high gadget dependence, which is a risk factor for CTS. CTS can be diagnosed based on a structured anamnesis with the help of instrument such as The Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ) and neurological physical examination in the form of Carpal Compression Test, Phalen's Test, Hoffmann-Tinel's Sign, or Reverse Phalen's Test. Thus, this study aims to determine the reliability of CTS examination using BCTQ with provocation tests on suspected CTS students of medical faculty UNSRI class of 2020. Methods: This research is an analytic observational study with Cohen's Kappa reliability test and a cross-sectional research design. The samples used were suspected CTS PSPD medical faculty UNSRI students class of 2020 according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected online via Google form and face to face at the PSPD medical faculty UNSRI lecture location. Data were processed univariately and bivariately using SPSS. Results: The incidence of CTS based on BCTQ was 40 samples (48.2%) from a total of 83 research samples. The incidence of CTS based on the Carpal Compression Test, Hoffmann-Tinel’s Sign, Phalen’s Test, dan Reverse Phalen’s Test in order is 26 samples (31.3%), 30 samples (36.1%), 39 samples (47.0%), and 29 samples (34.9%). The Cohen's Kappa level of agreement BCTQ with Carpal Compression Test, Hoffmann-Tinel’s Sign, Phalen’s Test, and Reverse Phalen’s Test in order is moderate (0.609), moderate (0.659), strong (0.831), and moderate (0.683). Conclusion: The reliability between BCTQ and all provocation test is declared acceptable in health services or clinical research in diagnosing CTS.
