This research constitutes an experimental analytic study conducted in vivo, employing two parameters. The investigation of total cholesterol levels was conducted using a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. Conversely, the study of hepatic histology utilized a post-test with a control group design. Thirty male mice were allocated into five groups: a negative control, an obesity control with simvastatin, and obesity groups treated with varying doses of Moringa oleifera leaf extract (420, 630, and 840 mg/kg body weight). Prior to the treatment phase, each group was induced to develop obesity through a high-fat diet, marked by a Lee index>0.3, over a period of eight weeks. Subsequently, the animals were administered interventions daily according to their group allocations for a duration of 14 days. Total cholesterol levels were quantified pre- and post-treatment using Cholesterol (autocheck & GCU) and cholesterol strips, followed by the preparation of hepatic histological specimens for analysis of histological alterations.
