This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical representation where this ability is influenced by the level of self-regulated learning. One effort that can be made to overcome this is problem-based learning (PBL). This research aims to describe the mathematical representation abilities of class VIII students in terms of self-regulated learning after problem-based learning (PBL). This research is descriptive research. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests, and interviews. Questionnaires are used to see the level of self-regulated learning of students and tests are used to see students' representational abilities. The subjects in this research were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Indralaya Utara. The results of the analysis showed that 1) Every aspect of mathematical representation (visual, symbolic, and verbal) appeared in every student with high, medium, or low levels of self-regulated learning with scores of 91.7, 50, and 45.8 respectively, 2) The level of self-regulated is in line with the level of mathematical representation ability in students with high and medium levels of self-regulated learning, 3) Students with low levels of self-regulated learning have a moderate level of mathematical representation ability, and 4) PBL can bring out mathematical representation abilities with whether students have high, medium or low self-regulated learning.
