This research is entitled "Development of VSDC free editor audiovisual learning media on state apparatus material after the 1945 proclamation in Palembang for Class XI High School History Learning". To find out students' responses and the effectiveness of audiovisual-based learning media, VSDC free editor audiovisual learning on state apparatus material after the 1945 proclamation for Class XI High School History Learning. This research was carried out in class XI IPS 3 State High School 16 Palembang. The research carried out is development research using the ADDIE model. The validity of the learning media was validated by three experts, namely material experts, language experts and media experts. Material validity has a value of 3.86 in the valid category, language validity is 3.70 in the valid category, and media validity is 4.33 in the valid category. The influence of VSDC FreeEditor-based learning media on state apparatus material after the 1945 proclamation in Palembang for learning in class. The average pretest score of students was 24.38% and the average posttest score was 71.38%. There was a significant increase of 48.33% so that an N-gain of 0.61 could be obtained which was included in the medium category. The results obtained show that the product developed by researchers regarding VSDC FreeEditor media-based learning material on state equipment after the 1945 proclamation in Palembang had a significant effectiveness impact.
