HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK RAMBUT DAN PERSONAL HYGIENE DENGAN KEJADIAN PEDIKULOSIS KAPITIS PADA SANTRI DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-ITTIFAQIAH INDRALAYA
Pediculus capitis is an infectious disease of the hair and scalp due to infestation of Pediculus humanus capitis. Pediculosis capitis can spread widely, especially in crowded residential areas such as dormitories. This study aims to determine the association between hair characteristics and personal hygiene with the incidence of pediculosis capitis at Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School Indralaya. This study was an analytical observational study with a cross sectional design. The study sample was obtained by proportional stratified random sampling. The total samples were 118 students who met the inclusion criterias and did not meet the exclusion criterias. The data processing used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The prevalence of pediculosis capitis is 37,3%.
