Efforts to develop Toba Lake tourism are very important in informing the history of the formation of Lake Toba Caldera so that it is necessary to make a facility in the form of a museum that can inform the history of Toba Lake's formation towards world civilization both from the fields of geology, biology, social culture to the general public , doing research, preserving the natural wealth of Lake Toba Caldera, this museum raises modem concepts of both funetions and interesting forms where the museum will present information in an interaetive manner so that it can be used as an event and tourist attraction and funetioned as a conservation and economic development of the community, which making this museum a new economic source for the surrounding community.
