Background: Colitis is an inflammatory condition that occurs in the mucosa or submucosa of the colon and can be acute or chronic. The initial survey results of the study found many patients suffering from colitis such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's Disease, and radiation colitis at the Pathology Anatomy Laboratory of Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang Hospital, so this study helps to summarize colitis data based on type, age, colon location, and symptoms. Method: Descriptive research with total sampling method. Data was obtained by collecting secondary medical record data. The inclusion of this study was chronic colitis patients who underwent a single colon biopsy with Inflammatory Bowel Disease type, infectious colitis (Shigella, Chlamydia, Yersinia, and Mycobacterium), Diverticular Disease Associated Colitis, and microscopic colitis registered in secondary data. The exclusion of this study was patients with medical record data that were unreadable or damaged. The collected data was processed using SPSS version 26. The data was presented descriptively in the form of frequency tables and narratives. Results: The incidence of chronic colitis in 2020 was 1.8%, 1.9% in 2021, and 2.3% in 2022. Most patients experienced bloody diarrhea symptoms, 43.9%, chronic colitis patients were in the age range of 45-59 years with a percentage of 30.3%, male gender distribution was higher at 60.6%, and the location of chronic colitis was mostly found in the sigmoid colon with a large percentage of 36.4%. Conclusion: The highest incidence of chronic colitis was in 2022. Most patients experienced bloody diarrhea symptoms, most patients were in the age range of 45-59 years, male gender distribution was higher, and the most biopsy location of chronic colitis was in the sigmoid colon. The distribution of chronic colitis types of IBD was mostly in males who had bloody diarrhea symptoms in the age range of 45-59 years with the most biopsy location in the sigmoid colon.
