PERBEDAAN PROFIL HEMATOLOGI PADA PASIEN KARSINOMA NASOFARING SEBELUM DAN SETELAH KEMOTERAPI DI KLINIK THT-BKL RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Introduction: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (KNF) is a malignant tumor of the epithelium that affects the part of the throat connecting the back of the nose to the back of the mouth (pharynx). Chemotherapy is a common therapy option for people with advanced KNF. It is known that side effects that can arise in patients undergoing chemotherapy are nausea, vomiting, myelosuppression, anemia, and renal impairment. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences in hematological profile of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients before and after chemotherapy in ENT-HN clinic RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This study is an observational analytical study with quasi-experimental study design. Samples were taken using secondary data from the medical records of KNF patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang and taken by total sampling technique that is all samples obtained and meet the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Results: KNF patients at ENT-HN clinic RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin were most commonly found at the age of 48–57 years (45.8%), more common in men (62.5%) and most often found in stage IVA (43.8%).
