Background: Recovering from anesthesia is defined as a condition where neuromuscular conduction, protective reflexes, airway and consciousness of the body have returned after stopping the administration of anesthetic drugs. Anesthesia doctors and nurses need to understand and be alert of the recovery time in post-anesthesia patients. Through previous research, it is known that recovery time post anesthesia can be influenced by many factors. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research involving factors such as age, gender, duration of surgery, BMI, and ASA physical status to find an overview of the time to recover consciousness in patients after general anesthesia. Method: This research uses descriptive observational research and the samples were taken using a simple random sampling technique by paying attention to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data taken is secondary data on patients after general anesthesia at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin. Results: The recovery time in patients after general anesthesia at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang has patients with a slow recovery time with the majority of aged 18-44 years (46.2%), patients of female gender (60.3%), having an operation time of 1-2 hours (39.7%) , ASA physical status 1 (59.8%), and had a normal BMI (54.9%).
