HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN, SIKAP, DAN PERILAKU IBU HAMIL TERHADAP PREEKLAMSIA DI PUSKESMAS KOTA PALEMBANG
Background: The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia is 189 per 100,000 live births. One of the causes of MMR is high blood pressure during pregnancy. Preeclampsia is defined as an increase in blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg occurring at a gestational age of more than 20 weeks accompanied by multisystem disorders with signs of proteinuria or symptoms of other multisystem disorders. Preeclampsia has various perceptions among the public and is often considered a common disease that occurs during pregnancy, resulting in low understanding of pregnant women. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and practice of pregnant women towards preeclampsia at the Palembang City Health Center. Methods: This study is an observational analytical study with a cross sectional design study. The data used were primary data through questionnaires on 60 pregnant women patients who were doing pregnancy check at nine Palembang Public Health Center using validated and reliabel . The data obtained were analyzed using the 26th version of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Results: This study found that the most respondents had poor knowledge of preeclampsia (51.7%), positive attitude towards preeclampsia (53.3%), and good practice towards preeclampsia (55%). There is a significant relationship between attitudes and practice towards preeclampsia with a p value 0.042 and there is no significant relationship between knowledge and practice towards preeclampsia with p value 0.185. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between attitudes and practice towards preeclampsia. There is no significant relationship between knowledge and practice towards preeclampsia.
