PENGARUH INTERVAL TRAINING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN VO2MAX ATLET JARAK MENENGAH CLUB MRC (MARWAN RUNNING CLUB)
This study aims to determine the effect of the interval training method on increasing Vo2max for middle distance athletes at Club MRC. The type of research used is one group pretest-posttest design with a quasi-experimental method. The independent variable is the training interval, a variable related to vo2max. The population of this study were athletes from the MRC club (Marwan Running Club). The sample for this research consisted of 30 people. The research instrument used was the Balke test. The treatment for this research was an interval training method, after being given training for 4 weeks with a frequency of 4 times a week. Based on the results of research and data analysis using the t test statistic with a significant level (α=0.05), it was found that Tcount was (30,62) while Ttable was (1,05), so Tcount > Ttable Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus Ha can be proposed or accepted, that the interval training method has an effect on increasing vo2max. The finding in this research is that the interval training method can be used to increase Vo2max. The implication of this research is that the interval training method can be used as a type of training to increase Vo2max endurance in athletes
