KARAKTERISASI CROSSDRAFT GASIFIER MENGGUNAKAN KULIT KOPI SEBAGAI BAHAN BAKAR.
Coffee skins contain many complex organic components, air content in biomass or moisture (M) and little ash. Organic components consist of four basic elements, namely carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O) and nitrogen (N). Biomass can also contain small amounts of chlorine (Cl) and sulfur (S). Thermal design for biomass utilization systems, whether gasifier or combustion, requires the composition of the fuel and its energy content. Analyzes that can describe the composition and content of Robusta coffee skin biomass are ultimate analysis and proximate analysis. Gasification is the process of converting solid fuel into combustible gas (CO, CH4, H2) through a combustion process with a limited air supply, namely between 20%-40% of the air stoichiometry. Gasification is one of several processes to convert or convert biomass heat into combustible gas (combustible gas) in a gasifier container. The aim of this research is to obtain the characteristics of the crossdraft gasifier, obtain the flame duration, and obtain the ratio of air and fuel during the gasification process. This research uses an experimental method by testing the gasifier test equipment used to operate the gasification operating system on a crossdraft type gasifier using coffee husk fuel.
