GASIFIKASI SEKAM PADI PADA UPDRAFT GASIFIER DENGAN GAS KELUAR DARI ARAH REDUKSI DENGAN METODE DIHISAP.
Rice husks are a biomass that is quite abundant in Indonesia, especially in South Sumatra. One method that can be used to convert rice husks into energy is the gasification process. The gasification process occurs in a gasifier reactor where in this research it was carried out in an updraft type gasifier. Updraft gasifier is a type of gasifier that is very popular because of its simple construction, high efficiency, easy operation and can accommodate various properties and forms of fuel. This research aims to find out how long biomass can produce good combustible gas using updraft gasification. Data collection was carried out by weighing the biomass before and after testing as well as measuring the air intake temperature in the reaction furnace and calculating the length of testing and heating time. Test parameters include gasification operation time, flame duration, and air fuel ratio with 3 tests. From tests based on gasification operating time, the average was 74.24, the flame time was 52.82. Tests based on the air fuel ratio have an average of 7.6. The fire visualization in this test is that the color of the fire tends to be yellowish, bluish yellow and the length of the fire is around 60 cm. Different colors and sizes of flames can be affected by air.
