Performing arts is an artwork that involves the action of an individual or group that is to be performed directly in front of the audience at a particular time and place. Performing arts usually involves four elements: time, space, the body of the artist and relationship between the artists and the audiences. Performing arts is divided into three that is music (vocal, instrumental, combined), dance (tradisionl and modern), and drama / theater (person or doll/puppet). The place becomes a Symbol of the performing arts in Palembang currently has not been representative because oh that need a Performing Arts Center Palembang is able to facilitate good as performance venues as well as a means of non-formal art education to be able to train and educate people interested in the performing arts. With the approach of neo-vemacular architecture, the concept of building design in the Performing Arts Center Palembang and an appreciation ofthe art form that is displayed in the tool, namely the traditional and modem art so as to display a performing arts center that can communicate fiinction in it.
