PT Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk have different types of coal ranging ffom lignite to anthracite. As we know the low quality coal is usually more of high quality coal and low quality coal itself less attractive markets. Determinants of high-low quality (caloric values) of the coal that is seen from the content of ash, volatile matter and fixed carbon is included in the test proksimat So the research needs to be done ffom the parameters to know is there any relationship deposits of ash, volatile matter and fixed carbon of gross calori value. From the results of this research will then be known parameters have strong relationships or low at a time when the value of the low calories and high caloric value at the time. The results showed that the existence of a strong link between Ash against the GCV on BA-50 of 48.2%, BA-55 of 49.5%, and BA-64 of 79% which means that the higher the value the more low Ash value GCV which means the quality of coal getting lower and vice versa, there is a very strong relationship between VM against GCV on BA-50 of 50.3%, BA-55 of 50.7%, BA-64 of 96.98% which means that the higher the value the more VM low value GCV which means the quality of coal getting lower and vice versa , there is a very strong relationship between FC against GCV on BA-50 of 90.6%, BA-55 amounted to 89.3%, BA-64 of 89.1% which means that the higher the value the more low value FC GCV which means the quality of the coal is higher and vice versa. As for the improvements that need to be done are the tools that are not functioning properly please immediately replaced, so that research results be accurate, please make mengecekan all the tools in order to find out the condition of the tool still works fine or less accurate, the use of the tool must match the specification, the layout of the heap of coal should be styled neatly senhigga ease the process of sampling or loading onto barges.
