This study aims to determine the understanding of parents of group A children about healthy balanced nutrition at Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergaten Palembang City. The research method used was survey method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely parents of class A one children totaling twenty parents and parents of class A two children totalling twenty parents with a total of forty parents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and for additional data using interviews which then the results were presented in percentage form. The results showed that the understanding of group A parents about healthy balanced nutrition at Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergaten Palembang City was eighty percent or thirty two parents in the high category and twenty percent or as many as eight parents in the medium category.
