Burn out is a syndrome that shows emotional fatigue and cynicism that occurs in individuals with many and varied jobs. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of burn out at school among class XI IPS students at SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Raja. This research is a quantitative descriptive research, the population is 58 students, the sample was drawn using total sampling, the instrument used was to collect questionnaire data which had been tested for validity and reliability, data analysis used percentages. The results of the research showed the brun out experienced by class XI IPS students SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Raja 72.41% (43 student) in the medium category, 13.79% (8 student) in the high category and 17.79% (8 student) in the low category. Based on the aspects measured by the results of the appointment research, fatigue was 65.52% in the medium category, depression/cynicism was 72.41% in the medium category and a decrease in achievement was 68.97% in the medium category. Through this research, it is hoped that guidance and counseling teachers can detect as early as possible students who are experiencing brunette and provide guidance and counseling services.
