ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEMISKINAN PROVINSI DI PULAU SUMATERA TAHUN 2012-2022.
Poverty is a multidimensional problem in development. Addressing the issue of poverty goes beyond understanding the cause and effect relationships that lead to poverty. It also involves considerations of values, lack of entrepreneurial opportunities, social and moral aspects, as well as the inability to improve one's circumstances and meet basic consumption needs. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing poverty in the provinces of Sumatra Island. The study examines the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Literacy Rate (AMH), and Economic Growth (PE) in the provinces of Sumatra, including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung. The data used in this research are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the years 2012-2022. The analysis technique employed is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results indicate that the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) has a positive and significant impact on poverty in Sumatra Island. The Literacy Rate (AMH) has a negative influence, though not significant, on poverty in Sumatra Island. Economic Growth (PE) has a significant negative impact on poverty in Sumatra Island.
