PENGARUH PENGETAHUAN AWAL PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR DI MAN 1 OGAN ILIR
This study aims to prove the effect of students'prior knowledge in economics subjects on learning outcomes in MAN 1 Ogan Ilir. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive correlational type of research. The population in this study were all students in class XI IPS which consisted of XI.IPS.1- XI.IPS.4 totaling 96 students and the sample of the research were students in class XI.IPS 2 and XI.IPS.4 with a total of 48 students where the sampling used cluster random sampling. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, and documentation. test the validity of the instrument using the Product Moment formula and reliability using Alpha Cronbach. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the initial knowledge data obtained is included in the good category with an average percentage of 79.26% of student learning outcomes showing an average of 77.31 which is categorized as good. Data analysis using the t-test shows that tcount is 88.03 > ttable 1.67, which means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of students' prior knowledge in economics subjects on learning outcomes at Man 1 Ogan Ilir. The effect of prior knowledge on learning outcomes is 99.40% and 0.60% is influenced by other variables. It is suggested that students are able to increase their initial knowledge by understanding more, remembering and repeating previously learned material before entering new learning material.
