Indonesian is a country with various ethnic and culture, from the point of beiief, Indonesian has the biggest muslim coramunity all over the world. Indonesia also counted as a tropical country, the characteristic of tropical climate in Indonesian depends on the regions it self, so it has effect on the residential or building in this country just like on the riverside. Pondok Pesantren Ma’had Al-Mubarak Al-Islami Litahfizhil Qur’an Al-Karim, is one ffom various Islamic boarding school which is maintaining the teaching of both classical and specific books for Qur’an memorize. Being in place with thick atmosphere of Islam development in Jambi city, this location mentioned as “ Serambi Mekkah”. Because of the riverside geographical location, water ofen flooding around this place all over the year. This pondok pesanten redesign using Eco culture approaching, which taking Site rhytlunical concept, and its trying to response site condition, from climatic side and also local cultural side that known to be religious so that became the center of Hifdzil teaching and also have a characteristic as a building with a Islamic Religion function.
