PENGARUH MEDIA POP UP BOOK TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP REMAJA TENTANG PENCEGAHAN HIPERTENSI DI SMA NEGERI 6 PRABUMULIH
High blood pressure usually occurs in adults and the elderly, but currently hypertension can occur in adolescence. Lack of knowledge among teenagers about preventing hypertension can influence teenagers to have bad habits which will increase the risk factors for hypertension. This research aims to determine the effect of health education using pop up book media on increasing teenagers' knowledge regarding the prevention of hypertension. The research design uses a quasi-experimental design and a pre-test and post-test with control group design which is quantitative research. The number of samples in this study was 84 respondents in each experimental and control group. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling. The data analysis test used is the Wilcoxon test. From the analysis of research results, there is a significant difference in knowledge and attitudes between pretest to the first posttest and pretest to the second posttest in the control group and experimental group (p=0.000), while the Mann Whitney test shows that there is a significant difference in knowledge between the control and experimental groups in the first posttest. (p=0.026) second posttest (p=0.004), and there was a significant difference in attitudes between the first posttest and the second posttest in the control and experimental groups (p=0.000). Conclusion health education using pop up book media can be an alternative learning media in increasing knowledge of hypertension prevention and can be applied in everyday life. Through this research, it is hoped that the pop up book media can be used as a health education medium regarding the prevention of hypertension in adolescents aged 15-18 years.
